Return and Refund Policy

At Shobdodhara Prakashani, we are committed to delivering high-quality books and publishing products to our readers. Please read this Return and Refund Policy carefully before making a purchase.

1. General Policy

Due to the nature of books and printed materials, returns and refunds are accepted only under specific circumstances as outlined below. We encourage customers to review product descriptions, editions, and formats carefully before placing an order.

2. Eligibility for Returns

You may request a return if:

• The product received is damaged, defective, or misprinted.
• The product received is incorrect (different title, edition, or item than ordered).
• The package was visibly damaged during transit and the contents are affected.

To be eligible:

• The return request must be initiated within 7 days of delivery.
• The item must be unused, in its original condition, and in original packaging.
• Proof of purchase (order number / invoice) must be provided.

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

• Books damaged due to customer handling.
• Items returned without original packaging.
• Signed copies or personalized editions.
• Clearance or discounted items (unless damaged or defective).

4. Return Process

To initiate a return:

2. Mention:
   • Order Number
   • Product Name
   • Reason for return
   • Clear photographs of the issue (if applicable).
3. Wait for confirmation from our support team before shipping the item back.

Returns sent without prior approval may not be accepted.

5. Return Shipping

• If the return is due to our error (wrong item, defective, damaged), we will bear the return shipping cost.
• For other approved returns, customers are responsible for shipping costs.
• Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the error was on our part.

We recommend using a trackable shipping service.

6. Refund Policy

Once we receive and inspect the returned item:

• Refund approval/rejection will be communicated via email.
• Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days.
• Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment.

Shipping charges (if applicable) are non-refundable.

7. Exchange Policy

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need an exchange for the same item, contact us at shobdodharaprakashani@gmail.com.

8. Order Cancellation

• Orders may be cancelled within 12 hours of placing the order.
• Once the order is shipped, it cannot be cancelled.
• Refunds for cancelled orders will be processed within 5–7 business days.

9. Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven't received your refund:

1. Check your bank account again.
2. Contact your credit card company or bank (processing delays may occur).
